some new toys (fun-time friday came early this week)

mini i-spy bottle
The next couple of days are a bit busy, so I wanted to share some new toys I made for C today instead...think of it as fun-time thursday. I know, I'm so crazy!

First, I've seen a few different examples of people drawing and coloring on building blocks (check out my Pinterest board called Blocks and Buildings for fun ideas) and knew we needed some in our ever-growing block collection. After spending about 20 minutes happily coloring away I realized that permanent marker fumes are a bad idea right now. So then I just drew some black outlines I could color later. (That was until I decided it was still a pretty lame thing to do when you're pregnant.)

Then this morning I made C a mini i-spy bottle for our car trip we're taking today. I found the idea on a great blog called Meet the Dubiens. (For other fun projects to make for toddlers check out my Pinterest "Toddler Fun-time Activities" board.)

stuff in mini bottle - take a picture of what you put in there first

to make it just layer a little rice with some fun tiny toys/trinkets

almost full...glue on the top to prevent messes and choking
What sorts of fun toys are you creating for your wee ones? If you're looking for something fun and quick, grab some Sharpies, blocks and go to town! Have a great day!
